GoW UE: Colonel Victor Hoffman

After Colonel Victor Hoffman told Lieutenant Minh Young Kim the COG's new plan to end this war. Delta Squad was getting ready to move into the ruins the city of Ephyra, but before they left Colonel Hoffman told Private Marcus Fenix that he expected him to give 110%, and Marcus told Hoffman he is not fighting for him.

Colonel Victor Hoffman was a Gear officer and the Chief of Defense Staff of the Coalition of Ordered Governments during the Locust War and Director of Special Forces, answering only to Chairman Richard Prescott. Hoffman hated being promoted so high, preferring to remain a frontline Gear. He is a battlefield commander and has fought alongside his fellow Gears in the Pendulum Wars, the Locust War, and the Lambent Invasion.

His wife Margaret Hoffman was killed one year after Emergence Day, she left Col. Hoffman to save her sister Natalie, an ER doctor in Corren, before the Hammer of Dawn strike. She, along with her sister, were presumed killed in the Hammer Strike. (I learned this from a Gears of War website.)
